All Things Raspberry Pi

I know that quite a few of our members have a Raspberry Pi, so I thought it would be good to have a topic on it. I recently got a Raspberry Pi 2 myself. Post here to share questions, experiences, triumphs, and failures with your Raspberry Pi.

Re: Hack Factory Facility Updates and Questions

Hey, can someone in the know give us an update on the status of our facility? (Jude???)

Who are the current shop area managers? Is there more to do for the lobby renovation? What's been going well and not so well in our space? New equipment lately? Plans?

Thanks for anyone who can provide some info!

Need cardboard box for 27-32" TV/monitor

All,

I'm looking for a cardboard box that would fit a 27-32" TV or monitor. I have to ship a monitor and I need a box.

Please IM me or post here if you can provide one.

Thanks!

Might have lost two keys on ring at HF this week

Hey, I might have lost a couple of keys on a keyring this week at the Hack Factory. I think I dropped my keychain in the metal working area at the door entry to the basement/front area, and the ring with keys might have flung off. There would be two keys on a small ring with a couple of those little...

Possibly lost or left at Hack Factory: 32 GB SD Card

Hey, I may have left or lost a 32 GB SD card in the Hack Factory classroom Sunday or Monday this week. If anyone has found one, I'd like to claim it; I can describe the contents. Thanks!

Re: Proxima 3D Printer - Custom Ultimaker Build

Awesome! Looks like you're all ready 'cept the laser cutter! I was at the shop the other day and it looks like the laser cutter room is still under construction. Probably a week or more until its ready for use!? I really don't have any idea.

Re: Robot Shop of Horrors on Fourth Fridays

Doug, thanks for arranging this. I'm going to try and make it to this event at 7 PM. Though I'm not presently working on a robot, I'll bring my position sensor chip, Arduino, and components and see if I can get some progress on my experimental head tracker. If you have that TI sensor chip, please br...

Re: Anyone local tried to build this DIY headtracker?

I haven't tried that setup. However, I've been playing around with a Bluetooth LE device, the $25 Texas Instruments SensorTag , which has a gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetrometer (compass), and some environmental sensors. I have thought that it would make the basis for a good headtracker. Wish I h...

Re: Anyone local tried to build this DIY headtracker?

...We are going to have a bit of a hackfest with it Wednesday (5/22) night ( follow this Eventbright link ). Doug, I am !SO! going to this meeting! I've registered! I have been following Rift development since I first heard of it... admittedly, only a few weeks ago. But since, I've watched most of ...
