I have a small project I'd like some community input on.
I need to make 2 dog treat dispensers. Nothing fancy, basically a timer-ed microprocessor in a box controlling a latch.
Want to make something to drop dog treats (in kongs) from a shelf in the room.
It feels like an arduino is really overkill for something like this. But I'd love something that I can program as easily as an ardiuno.
any suggestions, something that I can program a time to switched on and flip the power to a servo?

If the term "program" applies to actually touching something, you can buy simple timers ready to go cheap, I had or have some for switching garden hoses on and off, you set an on and off time, which you could use to drop kongs twice a day, fancier multiple times per day ones exist too.


Not sure if that's what you are looking for, but they are cheap and ready to go.
