Community Air Tools

Postby otto_pjm » Tue Jan 08, 2013 8:38 pm

The Pete's have put together a start of shared air tools, in the nice red cart near the pickle.
I only got a picture of the first drawer with a die grinder, cutoff tool, some bits for these and some oil.
Please put a drop of oil in the tools when you finish using them (one drop, in the tools air inlet).

The second drawer has a 3/8" butterfly impact and a brand new set of 3/8" SAE and Metric impacts. Please keep these tools together and return them to the tool cart, when you finish for the day!

There are some rotary sander type air tools I donated awhile ago, these could come to the cart to live too, and of course everybody is welcome to donate stuff.

Thanks

Pete

It should go without saying, but I'll say it anyway. High speed tooling in contact with metal is dangerous, if you don't know how to do things safely ask. It is very easy to, shoot metal into your eyes, burn yourself, snap off an abrasive / cutoff disk and send it flying into yourself or someone nearby. Please always wear eye protection and be careful. Air tools tend to be quite loud as well, so hearing protection is highly recommended.

I did not put any pretty colored stickers on the tools with suggested training requirements etc, I'm not opposed to it, but am unsure what makes sense.

Pete
