I found my way to the Geek Partnership Society's "Crafty Geeks" meeting tonight, looking to see what else is happening out there. And had a nice conversation about them, us and area's were we may cross over. While the group tonight was mostly working fabric projects, we did talk about projects that both groups could do, and one of the attendees was going to look at circuit integration for clothing. I see several areas where we have similar interests and maybe we can work out demonstrations that would benefit each group.
I invited the member present, and any other member in the society to show up on Wednesdays or ask if they want to check us out. Two of the group tonight had been there already.
I would like to do some more reaching out, if nothing else just to let other groups know about us, and introduce them to our group.
I have been watching and have found a couple of other groups that I will visit meetings, hand out flyers and invite to the open meetings.
Who knows what will come of these, but my own curiosity will bring me to a few more of these anyways.

Man, this is awesome.
It's all about networking. (No, not that kind, you IT wonks.)
Thanks for taking the time to do this.
Any time we can open communications with other groups makes things better for all of us.
I can't wait to see more about this.
