What do we have? Obviously everyone has a pet project that they want to see done, its part of why were all here and that might mean specialized equipment. There already is a list of what people want but what do we have now that people are willing to donate to the group to get the ball rolling. I have some: used computer and printer possibly a used server various computer parts in good working order without homes money to pitch in for basic share tools (screwdrivers, hammers, etc..) My time in helping answer technical questions Skills running a company network computers basic electronics outside the box thinking(sometimes a little too far )

Wow Metis, quite a list!
I don't have many tools, but I have some electronics components for the parts bin.
My personal "inventory": >20+ years of customer service and support in IT >Over seven years of professional computer, networking, and security problem/solution documentation and knowledge management (Windows, middleware, web applications, Unix/AIX environments) >Website creation and maintenance >Familiarity and use of PHP code, administration of phpBB >Strong interest and extensive involvement with Windows OS optimization, tweaking, customizing, hacking >B.S.E.E. degree >Time and funds to donate >Eagerness to fellowship with computer/electronics/crafting enthusiasts >Intermediate computer graphics ability >Knowledge and skill with parts selection and assemblage of custom computers >Need to learn or relearn workshop tools skills >Willingness to go outside the box >Plenty of wackiness!

have done some mig welding, manual machining, some blacksmithing, some masonry (concrete/thinslate-setting tiles), worked on wiring a couple houses so high voltage/a.c. but thats nothing much. some basic electronics built a couple amps working on telephone system wired a few guitars. have worked a bit with sheet metal done some welding on sheets (tac) have made a lute/mini bass so luthiering? (have bad spelling,) i have welded a little bit with acid core solder some steel/copper. some wood working, sheetrock, roofing (aluminum), working on small motors, worked on cars a bit (change belts, oil, tires, bearings, filters, radios,) have worked on some computers changing pci cards/raids so can build a cpu, besides that a bunch of random stuff. cant do everything but can probably help for a bit of everything. (accept programming i never know what to make so i never learned anything besides the basics, can do batch for pretty much whatever, and basic (like line numbers basic) basically batch with some extra finess with variables) i can work with sound systems (eq, speakers, cab's,) some basic explosive knowledge like the difference between a rocket/bomp simple fireworks ect. some knowledge/skill with making/examaning weapons (swords, axes, flails, spears, bows, gun ect..) basically some basic physics and biology. pneumatic/hydrualic systems. edit: i tried a list but ran out of lines.. edit:2 i forgot stuff

Hey there, Jeremy here, was at the meeting tonight and willing to do what I can to help out
Things I have to offer: A couple LCD monitors couple computers 8 or so soldering irons (Most of them are the rat shack cheap ones, though I can bring my good ones too) digital calipers dremels mini scrollsaw panavisa jrs a dozen or so 'really bare bone arduinos' plenty of wire plenty of books - many vintage electronics, like "Sylvania ECG Semiconductors - Linear Modules and Integrated Circuits", "IC Timer Cookbook" etc. money boxes of components If there's space, I can finally get my Epilog laser, woooo
My skills are - engineering related (degrees in computer and electrical) 'tinker mentality' - I'm fairly mechanically inclined and can figure out most things semi-pro photographer with gear pretty good with promotions, and getting free schwag from companies, or scoring deals and such (Fundraising type stuff) Because of my MS MVP status I have at least 10 licenses of every MS product, if need be I have a few friends in radio - when we're up and running I might be able to persuade them to do a story to drum up business. Maybe. Who knows.
Hard to talk about my skills vs things I can donate. hehe
