Yea, I didn't mean spraying foam directly on the wall. So the rubber solution is good (probably very good, to even provide a little bumper function), or we could take half-tubes with flat backing and position them up against the wall, with some means of mechanical attachment. Metis, this idea feels to me like a theatrical backdrop, in fact, so I'm sure with your background you have a wealth of knowledge to make it happen.

yup. remarkably so, except that it'd be designed to be seen from <20' instead of >30' just means that while i can manage painting the rough in, i've not the skills for making it pretty.

It would be the bomb if we could get that large format printer working, design some pieces on a computer, and print them out. We could apply a shellac or something to protect the printouts.

WIP - Here is a shot of how the mural is coming together. Getting plywood today, projecting final art on Wed.
