This is a great idea, but will probably have to simmer in the background for a while.
A mini golf course can really be a beautiful blending of art and gizmology.
It could be a win-win on several levels.
First, it's just plain fun.
Second, it could be rented out to raise money for the Hack Factory.
Third, it gives TC Maker a great way to increase it's visibility in the community. This would be great for boosting membership and eligibility for grants.
In regard to Karin's question, I think it should be entirely self-powered, whether by wind, solar, or mentos dropping into bottles of a sugary carbonated beverage from some huge corporation.
Or a hamster on a treadmill.
Or a bicycle.
Or a steam engine, fired by burning wood scraps from the shop.
