Just throwing a number out there, I think we may need 1000 Watts worth of heating power (plus inherent heating element inefficiencies). Can anyone confirm or has anyone seen any numbers in other systems?

We still need to determine the type of materials we want to use to avoid over/under engineering this thing. I know nothing of that sort.

While avoiding some work, I went through a couple days (or weeks) of hack a day.. Sure enough, there was something we have been talking about (ok there were others, but most of those were not this on topic).

Checked out the vac table at MCAD, next time I am there this weekend I am going to take pictures. I think we can replicate it on the cheap.

I have a couple of 2' x 4' vacuum formers- I could bring one in. I also have a vacuum pump or a compressor that could probably be used for the build. I have built a vacuum from the Joe Woodworker website for veneering, and could bring that in for people to look at if they are interested.

I won't be in tonight, but I would love to see the vacuum from the Joe Woodworker site, and hear about it.
Put me down as very interested.
