Faire wrap up and impressions

Postby otto_pjm » Sun Apr 15, 2012 6:56 pm

Hey, I was at the faire for most of the days activities, but as I was cutting stuff and chatting with visitors the whole time so I didn't get around to see everything sadly. (Not complaining, I just love to see what everybody does). I'd like to hear others impressions of how it went, and would really like to know how the bands were, and how the later evening went.

I understand from Jude, that the show on Friday was a success, did anybody else catch it?

Are folks planning to put pictures on Flicker, Picassa, ?
Is anyone working on a wrap up blog post?

Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen, it seemed like a big success to me, and I was glad to be a part of it.

My first impression is it ran fairly well.
I actually had less to do during the event this year then last year.
Parking is the major problem we have to solve.
If the weather would have turned we had the space (wood shop) but the feel would have been lost.
The logistics of the event worked out pretty smoothly. Exhibitors were able to setup and take a break before the show.
The pre-event actually worked to our advantage. And something like it show be incorporated from now on.
Is the event is about the right size or do we want it to get a lot bigger. There is very little room in between.

A more formal recap soon.
