Drop Boxes - wood, metal, plastic?

Postby kneeskrap3r » Wed Apr 25, 2012 2:36 pm

Fellow hackers:

I'm working on a project with some guys to offer reusable plastic food containers in the metro Skyway systems. We have a challenge coming up with a dropbox, we envision something fancy like a Redbox video rental container or solid Fedex/UPS/USPS drop-off site with the 'self-locking' drop slot - but we know a prototype is going to be much more simple and less expensive.

Is anyone looking to practice their metal-, wood- or plastic-working and interested in partnering up with us to help design and construct at least a single prototype? We are looking forward to getting some ideas and seeing what people think of the idea!

Thanks in advance,

I might be able to help, I'm no master craftsman but I do have some experience with wood, plastic and Redbox. Email me at daohnstad@gmail.com if you think I might be able to help.
