I'm at the Hack Factory, planning what I and we are going to be doing at: the North Star Roller Girls roller derby season ending bout, on February 23rd, at the convention center; Marscon, which takes place March 1 - 3 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Bloomington; Minicon, which takes place March 29 - 31 at the Doubletree Bloomington; Our Minne-Faire, a Maker and DIY exposition, which takes place April 13th & 14th at the Hack Factory; Norther Spark 2013, which starts at sunset on June 8th in Lowertown, Saint Paul; and Convergence, which takes place July 4th - 7th at the Doubletree Bloomington.

Just typing that made me tired, thinking about it even more so.

I'm going to be looking for warm bodies to help and participate in all of these things. All the things! If you're interested, let me know.

Looking forward to the event season. I submitted something for a table at Minne-Faire but haven't heard anything back.

I'll try and remember to bring my Thing-O-Matic to MarsCon this weekend (3/1-3) for our space in the science room, but I'm not sure when I'll arrive.

Hey everyone, there's a fun and exciting event coming up this Saturday, March 23rd:

This is an event connected to the growing urban farming movement, which has a huge overlap with makers and hackers.

The Hack Factory is going to be participating in this Farm Hack event. It's going to be a blast.

The people who run this event are going to be exhibiting at our maker faire, and we get a chance to promote our Faire at this initial farm hack event.

In addition, they're planning on hosting a much larger farm hack event at the Hack Factory in July.

They have asked that we reach out to our community members, to see if anyone would be interested in showing up at this Saturdays event to talk about the following pieces of knowledge connected to urban farming:

-the general making and fabricating of things
-Cultivation
-Processing
-Harvest
-Water
-Adapting and Modifying Bikes
-Electronics
-Pumps
-Welding
-Construction
-Robotics
-Plumbing
