Well time is running the race is a week away.
Good and bad News. I had work (built a deck) the good is I had work. The bad is I didn't have a lot of time to put in on Bessie. Actually it wasn't the work on Bessie that was the problem it was missing days of picking up Milk Jugs. So I've had to expand the playing feild and am hitting all of the coffee shops in the area. It will be close on Jugs.

Because of the lost time, I've shifted from purely welding the plastic to only welding what I have to and I broke out the Hot glue gun for the rest. Actually a hot glue gun should deal with the HDPE just fine but I really don't have time to work on a feed stock extruder (something for August). Since I'm not welding (most of it) I did have to incorporate more of an armature then I expected. But I found some of that cheap wire garden fencing being thrown out and that works just fine. Even with building the armature the hot melt glue is quicker the how I was welding. The target is still a full up test on Wednesday and tweaks until Sunday.

By the By. If anyone wants to contribute a waterproof TC Maker something to attach to Bessie I should be a CR Wednesday.

Well, there's low-temp "hot" glue and high-temp HOT glue. I mostly use a lower-temp gun + gluesticks for PC work; if you have the choice, for HDPE, go hotter.

Perhaps you could display the TC Maker logo though, either on a flag or painted on Bessie's side? Obviously, this has been a one man show, and this is absolutely, totally, your prerogative. But really, I'm sure that some of us at TC Maker would be more than happy to sponsor you and reimburse for your efforts if you'd advertise for us! Probably the best and easiest thing would be to paint our logo using a template with TWIN CITIES MAKER [EDIT: Even better, WWW.TCMAKER.ORG] in BIG LETTERS near it. Also maybe "Bessie" or something in black. It just has to be BIG to be seen from afar.

Judeling, would you do this? Barring a catastrophe, if you're able to even just get this monstrosity into the water with "TWIN CITIES MAKER" [EDIT: or WWW.TCMAKER.ORG] on it, I'll do everything possible to see that we get you some sponsorship funds, even if it comes from my own pocket.

If and that is a big If, I have time I always figured on having Bessie wearing a racing blanket with Logo at least. I just don't know if I'll have time tomorrow to do it.
