Interest in Upright MAME Cabinet for HF?

I have a Omega Race upright Arcade Game that no longer works (tube burnt out before I got it 10 years ago) and I am looking to see if there are a couple of people who want to do a group project to build it into a Mame Cabinet.

We'll need to find a replacement color tube or flat panel. I'm OK with a flat panel if we can make it fit. It would be awesome to do a redesign of the cabinet for TC Maker!

Depending on both weather and my back, I will try to get this down to the HF Tue/Wed before the meeting. I also have a copy of the book that was done about this, someplace, I will look for that too.

Most of what I know, is that you need the controls, the display, and a p3 computer with some RAM. And then there is the Rom's for the games, I think I know a guy who may have a dvd with those on it.

Yup, and for a multipurpose console we might need to install additional controls.

I have an NEC Mulitsync LCD1700V from a relative's old computer. She might be wiling to sell it.

From what I heard Wednesday, many folks are ready to go to work on it, and John said they had a computer already but I did not talk details.

So lets see who wants to work on this, I will put a sign up on the machine tonight, and this Wednesday we can decide who leads this. ( I am going to do my own later this year, so I was just donating this one in hopes we do a MAME with it)
