Alright, it's official, this is happening. I'll do it by myself if Dave (Videoman) isn't available. Can someone put a post up/get the word out to anyone who doesn't watch the forums?

Should we do some sort of cost? I think that once things are done, we'll just donate the finished brew to the HF, but it would be nice to cover expenses. Suggested $10 donation? All further proceeds will go to HF after cost of materials is covered.

So do you guys want this to be a real class? We can schedule it and add eventbright to handle the funds

I imagine not all of our classes are going to be posted on the eventbrite. This does really help if you are intending on capping the amount of people or charging ahead of time but I don't think that it's necessary.

Do you want to make this official and set up an event on our calendar? It would be nice to know when groups are meeting in the space

I agree that a bit more formality might help. Is there a start time? I haven't seen one. I saw DT mention some types of beer that might be made, but nothing concrete it seems. I ask because I live by northern brewer, and would drop off a flyer if we are sufficiently organized. Grand Old Days is coming up, so if we get a flyer up it may see a fair amount of traffic.
So time beer types, suggested donation / materials fee. Would be good to know. Additionally if this includes bottling / kegging or more importantly enjoyment of the fruits of the labor will there be a week or two later follow up? Could be on Weds night perhaps?

Yes, let's get it added to Eventbright. Time: 1pm - 5 or6pm. Tasting of product on July 20 (Wed). Suggested donation: $10. Beer will be donated to Hack Fac (just because if we're not sure how many people are going to show up, we can't guarantee quantity they will be able to bring home). But we will have a tasting July 20, so they can come in and see how it turned out. Kits that I think we should make:
The Innkeeper Extract Kit: w/ Wyeast = 29.24 + tax
Sierra Madre Pale Ale All Grain Kit (A Sierra Nevada clone) = 29.24 + tax
Topics covered: -Equipment -Difference between Extract & All Grain brewing -Mash Process -Boil -Batch vs. Fly Sparging -Cooling & Pitching -I will probably also cover yeast starters briefly -Briefly cover force carbonation vs bottle priming
