Wood Shop

This page is dedicated to the people who operate the wood shop. This area includes woodworking tools and equipment and wood storage, as well as housing the various member CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) Router projects underway. Currently the department head for this area is Chris Odegard, who reports to Shop Manager John Scherer.

Wants

  • Sawdust sucking system
  • (More) Wood chisels, rasps, and files
  • (More) Lathe chisels and gouges
  • Lathe chuck with jaws, to allow bowls and other non-spindle stuff to be turned
  • Bench vise(s)
  • More clamps, any size and shape — a dozen were donated by Peter G. (forum name Luno) but we could always use more
  • Floor-standing drill presswe now have two ShopSmiths, and one has been set up as a standing drill press
