SOMEONE PLEASE HACK ME!!!

DTI model 500-1720-001 LED DISPLAY

The sign is a 2” Tri-Color LED Display with RS485 interface. It would be great to have this display hitched to a linux server and be able to program it from anywhere. I have collected as much documentation as I could find for the display and its api/physical interfacing:
