We would like to encourage all members of Twin Cities Maker to attend our annual membership meeting on October 2nd. To ensure everyone is comfortable, the meeting will be held both in person at the maker space and over Zoom
This is your opportunity to talk about organizational and shop issues that are important to you. We anticipate the current agenda will take an hour to address and there will be an informal Q&A afterward which will last no longer than an hour.
Meeting Agenda
The full meeting agenda will be sent to all members the week prior to the meeting. If you would like to submit a topic for discussion you are welcome to add to the meeting agenda by emailing the board with a suggested topic.
Currently the meeting agenda includes:
- Review of yearly financials
- Summary of major projects and changes
- Tool acquisition
- Shop reorganization
- New billing system
- General updates
- TC Maker lease status
- Volunteering and community
- HazMat program
- Funding tool acquisitions
- Possibility of dues increase
- Voting for two new board members
- Open Q&A discussion
Board Nominations
Two board members will be elected to serve three-year terms on the board of directors. We are always looking for individuals interested in joining our leadership team. Board members are responsible for managing and approving the appropriation of funds, guiding the direction of the makerspace via policy, working with members to craft policy that represents the diversity of the organization, and being actively committed to the mission ofthe organization.
